Klimasonekart

Norge er delt inn i åtte klimasoner, med tilhørende herdighetstall H1 til H8. Sonene er markert på kartet med ulike farger, fra kalde farger (H8) til varme farger (H1). Herdighetstallene må betraktes som en rettesnor når du skal velge planter, men de gir ingen garanti om et godt resultat.  Det kan være svært stor variasjon i lokalklimaet innen korte avstander, og dessuten kan du selv gjøre mye i egen hage for å bedre de klimatiske forholdene. En plante med herdighetstall H8 kan i prinsippet plantes i alle soner, en plante med tallet H4 kan pantes i sonen H1 til H4 osv.

Climatic zone map – Norway

Norway is divided into eight climatic zones, with accompanying hardiness ratings H1-H8. The zones are shown on the map in different colours, from cold colours (H8) to warm colours (H1). The hardiness ratings must be considered a guideline when choosing plants, but they are no guarantee for a good result. There can be huge variations in the local climate within short distances, and you can also do a lot to improve the climatic conditions in your own garden. A plant with hardiness rating H8 can in principle be planted in any zone, while a plant with hardiness rating H4 can be planted in zones H1-H4, and so on.
